LU'UM designs and constructs a public pavilion for encounters, that informs about the neighborhood development of the emerging WarnowQuartier and invites for gatherings and exchange. On more than 80,000 m² of building land, the future quarter will offer space for more than 2,000 inhabitants and about 1,000 workplaces.
The design derives from a self-created database of scrapped construction materials in order to extend their life cycles and act against the exploitation of natural resources. From a mind-set of care and maintenance of what exists, an impulse-giving place for the future neighborhood is aimed to be created. The neighborhood will be involved in the construction process in the framework of a building workshop. A modular design allows for a variety of uses.
